GF 229 WallMark® Canvas is a 6.0 mil embossed matte white semi-rigid calendared vinyl film with a specially formulated microsphere acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive designed for easy removal, repositioning, and reuse. Can I use GF 229 on other surfaces?
GF 229 is designed for wall murals, decals, and graphics on most types of smooth painted interior walls, including most flat, semi-gloss, and gloss paint finishes. The surface must be smooth and clean prior to application. If applying to new paint, consult the paint manufacturer for proper curing conditions before applying GF 229.

What if I leave GF 229 WallMark® on past its optimal removability time frame?
The adhesive will build for a few days before reaching its optimal bond. Because of the low-tack, microsphere adhesive technology, it will not become more aggressive over time.

Can this product be used on elevators?
GF 229 can adhere to stainless steel and other polished metal surfaces, but elevator doors may have a clear coat or other protective treatment that can cause ghosting when the decal is removed. Any ghosting may potentially be cleaned with a metal polish. Test a small piece in an inconspicuous area for 24 hours before full installation to confirm suitability.

When paneling larger jobs, do I use overlaps or butt-seams with this product?
Either method is acceptable, although butt-seams require a high degree of skill to properly align the panels. A larger-than-normal overlap is generally recommended for GF 229. This provides a larger area of adhesion and helps reduce the bump created where two sections overlap. An overlap of 2-3 inches is recommended for panel installations.
