GF 790AE Print-N-Privacy™ is a 3.0 mil decorative polymeric glass etch vinyl coated with a solvent-based permanent acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive on a 90# air-egress (AE) liner. This film can be applied printed or unprinted to create an etched glass visual effect or provide privacy. The 90# AE liner offers easy dry application properties for large-format graphics. GF 790AE accepts solvent-based, eco-solvent, latex and UV curable inks common to wide-format digital printing systems.

Can I use GF 790AE for other applications?
GF 790AE is recommended where a high-quality glass etch vinyl is desired to simulate etched glass. It can be used for commercial and residential applications on glass, including glass doors and windows. GF 790AE is not designed for cut lettering or repositioning because it features a permanent adhesive. Application or transfer tape is recommended for easier application. Air-Egress adhesives are dry apply only.

If I don't have a soft-edged squeegee, can I use a regular squeegee?
A regular squeegee is not recommended unless the graphics have application tape. GF 790AE has translucent qualities and may show squeegee marks. Regular squeegees may have burrs or uneven edges that can leave impressions in the vinyl. Depending on their severity, some impressions may be heated out, but heating the film on cold glass is not recommended because cracking may occur. A softer-edged squeegee is recommended.
